I enjoyed this. I teach the same lesson to my kindergartners. From my tween years through my thirties I lost the ability to cry: I had grown that numb to my emotional life! Of course I knew there was something really wrong with me and eventually healed from that emotional numbness, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
That's why I teach this lesson. I would have liked a verse where the singer (is that Rosie Grier?) actually cried. He seems too happy!
