Wool Felt Flower, Grace & Kindness

There is no gift so fine

as the conscious act of

Grace

and

Kindness.

Image: scanned copy of my wool felt embroidery from last night. I love wool felt, but haven't played with it for months! My French knots are wonky, stitches slightly caddywhompus, but that is why I like sewing...just for joy. Oh, and I am no purist; the back of my sewing is a jumbled, knotted mess.

  1. This is beautiful. I love handwork of all kinds and this is lovely. Don't look at the back of my work, or I just might smack your hands. Just as in life, a jumbled, knotted mess on the back is sometimes what it takes to be beautiful on the front.

Oh, and "...might smack your hands" made me laugh out loud.

  4. Thanks, Steven! That is why I love wool felt - love the feel of it plus the added texture of the stitches...especially French knots. It is small, too. I think the dimensions are about 3 x 4 inches. Very easy to hold.
