Stones would play inside her head
And where she slept,
They made her bed
And she would ache
For love and get but stones
Lordy, child
A good day's comin'
And I'll be there to
let the sun inAnd bein' lost
Is worth the comin' homeYou and me, a time for planting
You and me, a harvest granting
The every prayer ever prayed
For just two wild flowers that grow

i've always 'teetered' with ol' neil but that art and those words just broke my heart...
ReplyDeleteI really like this drawing! The colors, the plaid. You're always surprising me with the variations on your themes.
ReplyDeleteShiloh, when I was young...I used to call your name...
ReplyDeleteI went to see Neil back in the 70's when he was wearing a puffy shirt.
