You've Got a Friend

When I was 5 my mom had the Tapestry album by Carole King.
I loved this song!
I loved it so much I would lock myself in the bathroom (alone and away from older siblings), sit on the toilet and sing this song out.

  1. One of the finest songs in its day. I've always loved it, too. Was that Carole King on the piano in the back there?

The other thing I noticed, and liked, was the relatively long attention span camera work.

    Thanks for sharing this memory!

  3. Hmmmph...you were five? I was in high school and everyone had that album. I probably still have it. Great song. The song I remember from being five? Yellow polka dot bikini. Just sayin'.

  4. Being a North Carolinian James Taylor is practically our State hero because of; "In my mind I'm going to Carolina...". There is a current push to actually naming this song our State Song! I'm all for that.

Anyway - ALL of his songs I've grown up with because of our Carolinian anthem! I love You've got a friend...so much too.

Thanks for this GREAT reminder today Jenny!
