New Collage. Old Photo. Hafiz.

How

Do I

Listen to others?

As if everyone were my Master

Speaking to me

His

Cherished

Last

Words.

-Hafiz

Collage - mixed media, made last night.
Photo - taken Spring 2003. They lived in the bottle-brush hedge in my front yard.

  2. Funny thing about words - the context of the collage sounds very much like lost love and me pining away for it. They are actually the last words that Gary (my friend that died) said to me. But, you are right...still need to move beyond...even him...beyond the person...the stories...the attachment...

  3. Wow. So it was Gary that died? (I'm reading your blog backwards.) Those are very fine words to say upon departing. Was Gary a Buddhist, I'm wondering?

  4. Gary was not a Buddhist; he was not of any affiliation. But he did say YES to life!
