Thinking New Thoughts















the faucet of her sadness

was turned on

but only for a moment

then she thought of simple things:

pumpkins

rainy days

fresh bread

big open hands

and bales of hay

    Hi Jenny,
    Sadness can be beautiful too. I would add Yellow Aspen leaves and Green Chile Corn Bread to your list. I have been seeing a lot of beautiful fall colors in the mountains here and eating a lot of green chile! It helps keep away the tears.
